We speak to the Lord in prayer; He speaks to us through His Word. Sometimes He speaks to us through that still small voice, but usually through Scripture.

To get myself ready to hear what He has to say to me, I quote this verse before I start reading: OPEN THOU MINE EYES, THAT I MAY BEHOLD WONDROUS THINGS OUT OF THY LAW (Psalm 119:18)

When I pray this way, I am ready to receive what our Lord has to say to me. Try praying this verse. It will do the same for you.
