During the first 3 1/2 years of the Tribulation, the Antichrist will pose as a lamb. In the last 3 1/2 years (The Great Tribulation)he will act as a lion.

What sets the Great Tribulation in motion?
1. God defeats Russia and her allies and the Jews’ eyes will begin to be open

2. When Michael and his angels defeat Satan and his demons, Satan will be thrown from heaven and only allowed to rule on earth

The Antichrist will be acting along with the other two who form the trinity of hell:
1. Satan (imitator of God)
2. Antichrist (imitator of Jesus)
3. False prophet (imitator of Holy Spirit)

At the mid-point of the Tribulation, the antichrist will make his move and break his treaty by openly defying God (Rev. 13:6, 2 Thess. 2:4)

What do we know about the False Prophet?
*His main role will be to cause people to worship the Antichrist (Rev. 13:12)
*He is the leader of the one-world church (Rev. 17)
*He will be able to do signs and wonders and deceive people (Rev. 13:13-14)

Where will the False Prophet come from?
By studying Daniel and Revelation, we can see that the Roman Empire will come to power again and the Antichrist will take it over. This will be easy for him because:
1. The Arabs, his people, will make up a large part of these countries because they offer cheap labor.
2. He will have oil and they will not.

All believers (no matter the denomination) will be in heaven at this point. If the pope is raptured, the Antichrist will move in his man to take over and be the leader who will point people to himself.

At this point:
*The Antichrist will desire to be worshipped
*The False Prophet will cause this to happen
*Satan will be directing things from behind the scenes
*God will be in control and everything will happen according to His plan.

By studying Revelation 17, we can see that the Antichrist will get rid of the one-world church. Then he will sit in the temple of God and declare that he is God. (2 Thess 2:4). The False Prophet will lead people to worship the Antichrist and persuade them to make an image of him (Rev. 13:15). The False Prophet will place it in the temple, give it life and cause it to talk and those who do not bow down to worship it will be killed (Rev. 13:15). Then the False Prophet will wed business and religion. (Rev. 13:16) No one will be able to buy or sell without the mark of the Antichrist’s number (666).

When the trinity of hell says, “Worship the Antichrist or die,” God steps forward to tell the Jews what to do. FLEE! (Mt. 24:15). They are not to go home and pack a bag and not to stop for anything. As soon as the Antichrist declares himself to be God he and his armies will descend on Jerusalem to kill the Jews. Two-thirds of the Jews will not get out of the land (Zech. 12:8-9).

Where will the one-third who leave go?
*To the mountains (Mt. 24:16)
*To a place God has prepared (Rev. 12:6)

The place could be Petra (about 140 miles southeast of Jerusalem in modern Jordan) because:
1. It is located in rugged mountains
2. It is big enough to house a million people

How will the Jews get there?
Daniel 11:41 tells us that one country will be released from the Antichrist’s control. This country is Jordan and the Jews will be able to travel through there to get to Petra.

Never forget Daniel 4:17. Even during the Great Tribulation, God will still be in control!
